Buses from Helsinki Airport with Bus Routes and Times

Passengers requiring onward travel by train from Helsinki Central Train Station should board bus line 615 services at the airport, as this line goes to the main train station in the city center. En route, the bus drops off and collects passengers at some of the major hotels.

In central Helsinki passengers can either board HRT (Helsinki Region Transport) buses, the tram or the underground/light rail metro system. The tourist board sells the Helsinki Card, which allows visitors to save money on entrance fees to the major attractions as well as permitting them to travel "for free" on public transport.

The Helsinki Card can be bought at the airport from one of several tourist information stands, which are located in the arrivals halls. The Helsinki Card costs EUR 36.00 for one day for an adult, EUR 46.00 for two days and EUR 56.00 for three days. Children aged 7 to 16 pay EUR 15.00, EUR 18.00 and EUR 21.00 respectively.

The Helsinki Card allows passengers to save 35% on the fare for the Finnair City bus to the city center and back again to the airport. Participating shops and restaurants reduce their prices by up to 20% for Helsinki Card holders and discounts are also available on tours to St Petersburg, Tallinn and Stockholm. Even leisure activities like swimming and visits to the sauna or bowling lanes benefit from discounts thanks to the Helsinki Card.
